Congrats,

A very nice ride! I saw a 530d in traffic yesterday and it really looked good and far more dynamic than the E60...

I still have to waite until 14.4. for my 535iA. Partly due to my winterholidays in Austria and Bavaria and Partly due to the harbour strike we had for two weeks here in Finland. That is, however good, because we still have a horrible amount of snow here - which means that there will be a lot of mud everywhere as the snow melts. It would be nice to have spring and F10, in this order

Greetings from Finland,

TGII

Thanks! Many have said this before, but the photo's do not do justice to the car. They do look better and more imposing in real life.
You only have 3 weeks to wait!

I agree,

It looks so much better in real 3D world! And thanks, that will be a long three weeks period though...

I picked my car up today.
I have still to spend lots of time becoming familiar with it, but thought I'd post some pics asap.
If any member wants pics of a specific part, let me know and I'll do my best to accomodate.
My first impressions?
Fantastic!
I'm a hard guy to please with cars, but the car did exceed my high expectations.
Driving is EXTREMELY smooth and VERY quiet
The 8 speed sport-auto is very quick changing; the paddles are great!
I've not thrown the thing around yet, but handling appears great. The ride comfort, compared to my M-Sport E60 on 18 inch runflats, is very noticeable. Bumps and potholes do not jar the whole car!
The windscreen wipers are actually the correct way for us guys in the UK as well!
The interior is extremely high quality. I had seen the prof. i drive screen at the preview evening, but it is still HUGE.
The speed limit display is remarkable (see pics). Every time you pass the spped sign it updates (there is somme feedback from GPS as well as it even knows the difference between single and dual carriageway roads (the limits are different in the UK)
And it seems like a very minor point, but the instant fuel economy gauge / efficient dynamics indicator is a LCD screen. It is amazing.
I'll post further when I have had a chance to play some more!
P.S. The DVD playing feature is rather cool...
Rich

Hi Rich 535d

As you are the first here who already has F10...I have one detail question: how is the car key battery loading arranged? There is no place for it any more. Do we have to change batteries again or?

The interior is so seamlessly integrated. The door panels particularly caught my eye.
Drive it in good health!

Rich, Congratulations! It's a beautiful car. All you need now is for BMW to release the M-Package for you to upgrade the bumpers and wheels

I don't see an autofolding mirror button there. Did they relocate the button or does it fold everytime you lock the car?

Good question. I have no idea! I have been keeping the key in the door handles, as keeping it in the centre means keeping the flap open. But yes, it would need new batteries at some point.
