Parts needed:- Interior light B63.31.6.962.039
Rivets B07.14.7.136.172
3 meters of wire capable of transferring 10W 12V live electricity.
I didn't buy the light connector for the wires but the dealer should be able to supply it.
Pics will be in second post.
Start by removing all the plastic rivets along the outside of the boot lid fabric trim, use a small screwdriver to do this, i have given the part number incase any get broken also remove the left hand side boot trim.
Unlock the first aid box and the trim will comes loose, i think the trim is clipped at the bottom but no need to remove it any further.
In Pic. 1 you can just about make out the indent (arrowed) where the light should go, cut a small hole about 1x2 inch in the middle and then gradually increase the hole size until the light is a snug fit,
make sure to trim the excess fabric form the hole, i covered the edge with insulation tape as these lights get pretty hot.
Feed the wire down through the boot lid support bracket, undo the 2 screws holding the left hand back-seat release lever (if you have the load through system) and feed the wires into the hole in
Pic. 2, feed the wires along the arrow in Pic. 3 until they show in the hole for the original boot light, its a bit tricky but they will come through after a few tries.
Connect the new wires to the original boot lid wires in Pic. 4. How you do this is up to you.
Put back the back seat release lever while gently inserting the wires inside and along the pull cable, tidy up the wires as in Pic. 5. making sure to leave enough for when the boot is closed.
Tidy up the cable as in Pic. 6 and pop the cable through the hole in the trim, cut the cable short so there's enough slack inside the trim and connect to the new light.
Check both lights are working and put both back into there holes. refit all the trim and the jobs done.
