There was a post about a week ago talking about the Original California Water Blade and whether it was effective. The rubber compound kind of made my nervous so I decided to get the Griots garage foam one instead. I used it for the first time today and it was incredible! It really did cut my drying time around 80 % and it left no scratches behind. I would definitely recommend one to everyone!

The problem with squeegees is that you can't see the debris in the water beads and you'll drag it across the paint resulting in scratches. Most of the time that is not the case, but it's not a matter of if... but when. At least with a towel, debris gets picked up by the fibers.

This is after a thorough wash of the car, so there should be no debris in the water. Still, I wouldn't use any blade or squeegee on my car.

I used it a few times, but then got nervous with it on a black car. I no longer use it.

Using a leaf blower is just as fast. There is no contact on the paint whatsoever.

That's what I told myself until I put a big ass scratch on my hood.

Using the leaf blower is only good for the cracks and seams on the car. If you try to do the whole car, some parts will dry up with hard water spots before you get around to blowing them off. It's excellent for blowing out the puddle of water that sits inside the wheel barrel though.

The local lawnscapers were driving down the road with me behind them today and decided to lose a nice branch, missed the hood but hit the trunk and now I have some nice scratches on the current love of my life....

Has anyone had any luck with touch up paint kits? I have an 07 HD Laguna Sand Beige.

:o

Foam squeegee? I haven't seen this before, though I'm with the others. I'm to scared to use it on my paint, I like my waffle weave towels, but then again I'm also stubborn as hell and it takes me forever to decide which products to use on my own car

Spray the car down with a Quick Detail spray immediately after rinsing the car and that will eliminate the water sports...so long as you wipe the car (dry) quickly.
