Hi Guys,

Anyone out there experienced this problem when cancelling route guidance on an e65 (late 07 build), the result is:

The cancelled route details will remain displayed within the drivers dials after cancellation, i.e. the miles to destination, arrival time etc. are visible as if you're still using route guidance - also, the destination flag remains visible on the map display although the route is flushed from the map display itself, as in no white marked roads, and the destination label is removed from iDrive display (top line.)

The details remain visible after re-starting the car several times and will update if the car is driven as if the route guidance had not been cancelled, provided no new destination is entered, eventually these old route details are all flushed from the system (adding a new destination at anytime will flush all details.)

My dealer has replicated the effect on two other e65's they had, and also a Z4 he said! This would appear to be a bug in the software and is being registered as such..............

I'm not receiving word back from BMW presently on when this will be fixed - perhaps the nature of the problem allied to the fact numbers are relatively small with regard e65's make's this so - I'm not one for wasting time however it’s time to escalate action here. It is a minor problem perhaps however I have an aversion to paying for technology that's buggy! Any progress I make I'll advise......................
