I am currently a 07 525I owner the wife's car, but am seriously looking into the 745Li or 750Li. My issue is that the body style has been the same since like 05 till 09. I am looking at a 06 750Li fully loaded and only $36,000 black with like 40k-50k miles on it. I am seeing plenty of these up in VA, NC, MD, DC. My question is how may mile is to many? i mean as long as its under the 4 yr 50k mile warranty I can add the extended warranty for a little less. You guys have them now, so have you had any problems out of yours and if you have at how many miles did it occur? I am not a fan of the new body style (09) it looks like a Hyundai Genisis from the back.(IMO) Lastly what is the major difference between the 745Li and the 750Li? Thanks for your help....

I want to say that 02 and 06 are the bad years. Thats the years that you always hear people having alot of issues with.

I have had my 2003 since late 2005. Ive been luckily enough to not have many issue's with my car.

Personally, I've been thinking of changing up and going luxury -- checked out the 7'er, old and new
in the dealer's and they are surprising similar in appearance. I'd bet most people on the street
wouldn't know the difference. The inside is really nice but then just two days ago, I also checked
out the MB S-Class and really like the back seats better on that one.

My wife keeps telling me to get an S-Class when they put out a new one in a bit....... Decisions
decisions......

Oh, about your post, I'd say forget the old 7'ers and look at ones at least 2-3 years old. They are
maintenience nightmares according to my BMW mechanic and he keeps saying to get something
else.... Or wait a year and see how the new 7'ers hold up.....

Ok heres the real deal, for the money mid 30's nothing compares to a 745 or a 750 nothing, Do they have there share of problems absolutely... But dont think a similiar s class wont. the body style is a bit older now but your not paying "new" money for it so who cares. If u need a big car get a 7 you will never regret it unless u get a lemon....... Now for the miles, get one w/ the lowest miles possible because at this point the higher the miles when you sell the lower its worth, I woulnt buy one w/ more that 30k on it, and u prob will only pay an extra 2-3 for one w/ half the miles. Now warr////....absolutely need a warr because why have to worry about fixin $hit if it happens to break. I got mine cpo's paid absolute top dollar at the time and yes it has been back to the dealer a few times but for nothing major, and the dealer treats me like gold. i would say go to some main BMW only dealers and get one cpo'd... If u cant get the cream of the crop cpo'd...do not buy this car at a small dealer thats where all the pos's go. Trust me Bmw only keeps the better ones. now go out and enjoy that big body player.

no regrets, minor problems, my car is CPO (warranty is a must)
you have the right idea about mileage, year and price.
now, go for a test drive and you will fall in love
