While the event is free for all, we are requiring all cars wanting to be in the event to pre-register. Being that this is a "wheel fitment" event, your car will be pre-screened to insure that you are riding low and aggressive. While we aren't requiring your wheel lips to be kissing your fenders, we don't expect to see sunken wheels within the fenders, nor serious fender gap. We certainly want everyone to come be a part of the event, but ask for those who want to have their car in the show, to get low and aggressive.

There are many more details, which can be found at the Stance of the Union Website. We have hotel accommodations, a series of vendors and a schedule of events all there. You will find registration on the site as well.

Any questions, please do not hesitate to contact Ben at stanceworks.com. Let the countdown begin!

RPI exhaust with resonator delete today

Well I wanted more sound and the intake mod was not cutting it. I have the RPI exhaust on my 07 530 with 258 horsepower factory;.

The RPI pipe is 2.5 inches compared to the 2.75 inch stock pipe that goes from the resonator to the rear muffler. I removed my middle resonator today and the y-pipe--had them fab a new y-pipe and ran 1 2.5 SS inch pipe all the way to the RPI exhaust piping which met up perfectly since they were both 2.5 inches. Had them welded together. So now from headers--it goes headers, primary cats, secondary cats--2 pipes 2 inches each that enter into a y pipe-y pip distributes into the 2.5inch single pipe and that conntects to the RPI single 2.5 inche pipe.

Sounds REALLY good. NOt as loud as I thought it would be, not overly raspy, just as if you took the rpi exhaust sound and multiplied it by 2 or so. Maybe not that much but a nice 1.5 times louder at every frequency than the rpi but maintains the rpi type of sound.

Surprisingly that is NO drone-it took away the drone of the RPI with resonnator. My thought is if you look at the resonator, it is all wed and wierd hollowed shaped that is perfororated. The straight 2.5 inch pipe lets the exhaust gas run through quick and fast. My guess is the odd baffle shaped resonator created the drone by slowing down the gases at that point.

SO if you want even better rpi sound, no drone and a 60 dollar mod PLUS another 30 pound weight savings its great.

All in all I saved 30 pounds from the RPI rear muffler and now 30 pounds from the resonator delete. 60 more pounds shed off the 530==I am approaching 3400 pound unladen based off bmwusa.com when it was up and subtracting all the weight I dropped, including rotating weigght of tires and wheels which cannot even be compared since rotated weight is a totally different ball game.

Sound upgrade E61 - Earthquake SWS-8, JL HD900/5,BSW Stage 1

I’ve done an upgrade on my E61 525d. The car was delivered with the Hifi system (676). In this system there are ten speakers. The HU is supplying the 4"midrange and 1" tweeter with 4 x 25 watt and there is a separate amp for the sub. This powered with 2 x 40 watt

My plan was to upgrade without cutting in the original wiring or any physical modification on the car.

My components:
-	BSW Stage 1
-	Earthquake SWS-8
-	JL Audio HD900/5

Stage 1. Upgrading the SUB:

Here is some picture of the Earthquake SWS-8 sub. I soldier cable and connector for “plug and play” to the original wiring.
Part number on the housing: 61136901731 (You need 2)
Part number on the pin: 61138364835 (You need 4)

Here you see the OEM sub. It’s very easy to replace these. Do not disconnect the cable to the seat. Then you would get an Airbag alarm

I created a 4 mm spacer in MDF.

The sub is installed:

Stage 2. Installing the BSW Stage 1 - 4"midrange and 1" tweeter.

Here is some picture of the BSW elements. This is 100% plug and play. Very easy installation
